Unique Lightsabers
I know, I know. Have I gone mad with midichlorians? What’s with all the lightsaber stuff? I guess I’ve always been a fan. That’s why my WoW toons all have them. Not gonna lie, I wouldn’t hate it if Blizzard managed to creatively steal use for inspiration some of these designs.
It’s Hero Time
HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE WHAT HE DID WITH THE SWORD?!
Uh… spoilers I guess?
Regardless, between watching a planet getting skewered and watching Justice League earlier in the week, I was motivated to gear up a savior. Someone to save Azeroth, and all the poor helpless fleshbags that dwell within it. Not to mention, it’ll give me something interesting to do after my poor Ironman character got himself killed taking on about a dozen mobs that obviously should not have been messed with.
Time for a Superman Transmog!
Tidbit Thursday
As I write this, I’m sick as a dog, and struggling to get through my night shift so I can sleep. Because dying.
News? Sure, let’s talk patch 7.1.5 as it hits the PTR. More importantly, how it might help with making gooooooold!
- Looks like crafted gear is getting the Obliterum upgrade from 8 to 10. Take advantage now of the cheap mats that you can use to make these things, and be ready to sell them once the patch goes live.
- Also getting a very cool upgrade is the WoW Token. Judging by the coding being introduced in the patch, we are going to be able to buy the tokens and deposit them in our Battle.net account. That means you’ll be able to buy server transfers, race changes, and all that good stuff, with gold. To this I say both “Hooray” and “Damn it” because I can see myself using this to server transfer toons, and most likely leveling them up.
There were a couple other things, but I’m pretty sure that was part of a fever dream. Actually, that leads me to another tip. It’s not necessarily game related, but it bears mentioning:
- Listen to your body. It will tell you when something’s wrong. I’m not saying to go to WebMD every time you have an ache (because nine times out of ten it’ll probably tell you you’re dying), but be mindful if you’re feeling “off.”
- If you’re sick, STAY HOME AND DON’T SPREAD YOUR PLAGUE YOU SAVAGE! Luckily when whatever the Hell plague hit me, I was already at work. Staying up late at night puts stressors on your body, including your immune system, which is why doctors suggest rest when you’re sick. So being up all night will beat the piss out of me, but I don’t have to be around other people so I am somewhat contained, and I have alcoholic wipes that I will use to towel down everything before I leave. I will also leave some for the day shift guy, and suggest he do the same.
That’s it for me. I hope this posts.

Shadowfang Keep Gold Farm
Oops I did it again. I leveled a toon. Got lost in the game.
Oh baby baby.
My monk was a character I was just going to level once in a while. It was not my intention to get him maxed out in short order or anything like that. No rush in getting this guy to 100. Just casual. Yeah, casual.
Next thing I knew he was at 85. Monks + their daily xp buff + heirloom + dungeons = well, 85.
As you might imagine, he’s coming up short on cash. I did have a couple thousand gold, but I burned that up buying old justice gear to use for transmog. He had to borrow to get his 280% flight.
Therefore, I wanted to find a way to pause and pick up some scratch. Get a bit of a nest egg started. I know I’m going to need 5000g for a maxed out garrison. I’ll probably need more gold before that. I want him to pull his own weight, which means farming. And all the popular farming spots are Pandaria or higher, which is not exactly viable for an 85 character.
What to do?
Oldbess offered up this video outlining some easy twink gear to farm. Mobs were level 19 or so, easy enough to run and run fast. Potentially some cash to be had here. I’ve never been a fan of using transmog gear to make cash. There’s too many variables involved – server size, personal preference – for it to be considered reliable income. Sure, if you get lucky and happen to get one of these pieces to drop, you can make bank. But someone has to actually buy it for you to make money, and that piece of sweet transmog can sit on the AH for quite some time before it finally goes.
Anyhow, check out the video because Oldbess is solid for gold tips and despite my feelings on farming twink gear, it’s a good piece of gold-making cinema.
Have you tried this spot? Has it worked out for you? If you’ve farmed Shadowfang Keep let me know in the comments below if you made some nice scratch there, or if it came up flat.
Star Wars Transmog

Spellfire Longswords make great Lightsabers.
As you may have noticed in the past little while, I’ve been working on getting more of a Star Wars feel on some of my characters. Today, Bellular helped fuel my issues by releasing a video with some Star Wars inspired WoW Transmogs.
Check it out. Enjoy. Take notes. Start farming.
May The Force Transmog Be With You.
