What the Hell. Might as well make this PVP week complete with my “The Gold I Find” entry for the week that I’ll never be able to do.
I’m not being negative. I’m just being a realist.
To pull this off, you need to fulfill two important prerequisites:
1) You need to be very good at PVP, specifically 1v1 duels. This takes a great deal of practice and countless battles. Experience is key.
2) You need to be a bit of a dick so that people will line up to give you absurd amounts of gold, just to try and kick your ass. This takes, well, being a dick. Not a raging boner, just enough of a dick that people kinda like you, maybe find you entertaining, but really want to shell out to take you down a notch.
Sodapoppin is that special kind of
At first glance, this looks sketchy as Hell. It almost screams “scammer”. But as long as you are careful in how you advertise these Mystery Gifts, it looks like you could make some quick gold. Until you (maybe?) get reported. Personally I won’t be trying this one, but for those brave enough…
While transmog farming doesn’t overly appeal to me, pet farming tends to be a little more enjoyable. I don’t know why. Maybe I’ve just gotten lucky when I’ve been hunting for companion/battle pets. But this one I had no idea about. In fact, I didn’t even know the Isle of Giants existed at all. I decided to take a trip there just to see what it looked like. (It looks like giants, genius — Editor)
Now the strategy was to kill the humanoid lizard men. Of course, once I got there and managed to aggro a few of the actual elite dinosaurs, I noticed I was picking up bones. Turns out that by killing dinos, you can actually get yourself a dinosaur mount of your very own. Not great for selling, but if you’re going to be on the island anyway it might not be a bad idea to take a shot at some of the other creatures that roam the land.
In conclusion: if you are on the Isle of Giants, KILL ALL THE THINGS!!1!
“I like my shit quick.” – New Jack, professional wrestler/gangster/bounty hunter/certified badass
I remember watching New Jack wrestle back in the ECW days. He was, and still is, a violent man. The halloween mask of scar tissue that he calls a forehead is a testament of the level of brutality he would take, just for the chance to dish it out.
How does that relate to World of Warcraft?
Like this – I hate transmog items. I like using them, but I hate farming transmog gear just to try and sell it. The money can be quite good, but expect items to sit up on the AH for a dog’s age. Watching transmog items sell is like watching snails screw. It takes forever to get the payoff.
If I’m going to put myself through the brutal grind of farming, I want it to be worth it. AQ20 has some of the more valuable transmog drops. Downside of that is that it’s a raid instance, which means long lockouts. But it doesn’t have to. Check out WTBGold’s video and see just how much farming brutality you can take.
I tried this recently and it works. You just have to make sure you don’t accidentally pull mobs that will start a chain reaction that results in bosses being pulled, locking you to the instance, preventing the reset, and going from an overall sweet experience to to “see you in a few days.”
Back in the days when I would start a new character on a new server, I had a two-step process to start making gold. First, I would get the character to level 5 and have him learn the professions mining and herbalism. He’d then run around, picking flowers and breaking rocks, then selling a stack or two of each. Once those auctions had sold and I had a few gold to work with, I’d buy certain limited edition recipes from vendors, triple the listed price, and wait for them to sell. Usually within a week I’d be shopping again, pockets flush with that sweet vendor recipe coin.
People are lazy. Why fly around the coutryside hoping the recipe they’re looking for is available, when they can just go to the AH and buy it there?
I don’t know how profitable this avenue would be these days. But, should you be so inclined to give it a try, here is a video from Nicorn who not only outlines what to do and where to go, but also hooks you up with a sweet addon to make things even easier. If you try this, comment below and let me know how much you made!
